Ultrasound
An in-house modern ultrasound machine that takes care of most radiological investigations that women with issues related to child birth and fistula can benefit from. This investigations include and not limited to:
Abdomino-pelvic ultrasound
Looks at the organs between your pelvic area and the abdomen. Some of the pelvic organs include your bladder, rectum, uterus and vagina. These are the body parts mostly associated with obstetric fistula.
Pregnancy ultrasound
To check the size and position of an unborn baby to facilitate proper preparation to avoid unforeseen prolonged and obstructed labour which are the main causes of obstetric fistula during vaginal delivery.
Diagnostic ultrasound
Mostly Kidneys, Ureters and Bladder to check the accumulation of urine and complete evaluation of the urinary system for any obstructions and masses.
